Who we are

PROPS is a specialist service for people whose lives are affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use.

We offer practical help and emotional support for families of drug and alcohol users. Our tailored approach ensures you’ll receive the support that meets your specific needs.

We have helped thousands of families throughout the North East and beyond, and these first-hand experiences demonstrate the positive impact our charity has made to the lives of those who have reached out to us for support.

The PROPS helpline

You can call PROPS on 0191 226 3440 to speak to somebody any time between 9.00am to 9.00pm every day, including weekends and bank holidays.

If the line is busy, please leave your name and contact details and we will call you back.

If you are contacting us via the website your message will be picked up on Monday, or Tuesday if it is a bank holiday weekend.
